9/15/02:
Beta Theta Chapter recently wrapped up its Hay Daze
celebration at Middle Tennessee State. The week's
activities included a sports night, pageant and other
events where sororities competed against each other
for points and for the title of AGR Sweetheart. The
procedes from Hay Daze went to Farm Safety Just 4
Kids, an organization that holds camps for kids to
teach them safe practices around the farm. The
celebration was a huge success, with all but one of
MTSU's sororities participating and with hundreds of
attendees at each event. News of the week's eventswere published several times
in Sideline', the university publication of MTSU.

9/15/02:Beta Theta recently
began landscaping in front of
their house. The landscaping is far from complete, but
thanks to the hard work of several brothers and
alumni, it's already making a great improvement. (October AGR

9/15/02:
Michael Shirley, a long-time brother of Beta Theta
was recently voted onto MTSU's Homecoming Court. Shirley
is continuing Beta Theta's tradition of participation
and success in the university's student and sports
programs. In years past, Matt Thie, former Noble
Ruler, was voted Homecoming King, and the presidency
of MTSU's student government has been occupied by AGRs
for several years now.Shirley is also the principal organizer of the "Hay
Loft," AGR's own section in Floyd Stadium at MTSU. The Loft, in section
2II has become synonymous with Blue Raider spirit, and
is typically packed with brothers, sororities, alumni
and friends of AGR at every game.

9/15/02:This
week, AGR is preparing for MTSU's Homecoming
festivities. There will be activities for brothers and
alumni before and after the game on November 16. AGR will be participating in
the Homecoming competitions with Alpha Tau Omega

recreating the success of
the "Raider Saloon"--the AGR float that won first
prize in 1999. Beta Theta chapter will also be
competing in other events, such as the Fight Song and
