Josephson Awarded CFEA's Prestigious Varner Award

On May 10, 2003, Phil Josephson, executive director of Alpha Gamma Rho, received the College Fraternal Editors Association’s (CFEA) prestigious Evin C. Varner award. This is the highest award given at the annual CFEA Conference.

Josephson was commended by CFEA for his 30 years of

service to Alpha Gamma Rho and his implementation of the Brotherhood Program.

Durwood Owen, the 1994 Varner Recipient from Pi Kappa Phi, summed up Josephson’s influence on the fraternity world: “When he speaks, people listen. When he promises, he produces. When he works, he works harder than anyone.” n
