Bill Jones, Cal State - Fresno and Mark Linder, Iowa State, have been working together recently towards the election of Bill to the United States Senate representing the state of California. Bill was elected on March 2 as the Republican candidate to run opposite of Democratic Sen. Barbara Boxer in November. Bill is a farmer, rancher and agribusiness leader in California.

He has served two terms as the California Secretary of State and served twelve years in the California State Assembly, representing his district in the Central Valley. In 1994, he received national acclaim as author of California's popular "Three Strikes and You're Out" law against repeat crime offenders. California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger and former Governors Pete Wilson and George Deukmejian are actively supporting Bill's campaign.

Mark Linder and Bill Jones are long time friends who have worked together on various projects in California. Mark is assisting Bill in opening doors with agricultural and business leaders throughout the U.S. for the Senate campaign. Mark is active in the management of his family's farm in Iowa and is a business development and marketing consultant based in Sacramento. He co-founded two national organizations, Agriculture in the Classroom and Project Food, Land & People, and worked with the California Farm Bureau for several years after graduating from Iowa State.
