Iowa State Chapter Member Killed in Car Accident

    Andrew Albright died during a car accident the evening of Tuesday, September 13, 2005.  Three other chapter members, Justin Sovereign, Doug Puffett and Tom Schroeder sustained injuries in the accident. 

    The members were returning from a chemistry class at Des Moines Area Community College.  Sovereign was transported to Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines; Puffett and Schroeder remain at the Boone County Hospital and are in fair condition.

    Andrew became a member of the chapter August 27, 2003; he was serving as the VNR Membership Development officer.  He was a sophomore and a member of the ISU Ambassadors and Agriculture Future of America (AFA).  He was a third generation member of the Eta Chapter at Iowa State University.  His grandfather, James; father, J. Alan; and two older brothers Benjamin and Nick all became members of Eta Chapter. 

    Visitation will be held Friday, September 16 in Sac City, Iowa from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Farber & Otteman Funeral Home.  The funeral service will be held Saturday, September 17, at 11:00 a.m. at Emanuel-St John Lutheran Church in Lytton, Iowa.
