Tarleton State AGR Member Chosen for National Leadership

National FFA Organization Names 2003-2004 National FFA Officers

The National FFA Organization has selected sophomore Casey Hogan, Stephenville, Texas, as the 2003-2004 National FFA Western Region Vice President. Hogan is a member of Alpha Gamma Chapter at Tarleton State.  Hogan is a member of the Arlington-Martin FFA chapter. His parents are Sherri and Fred Hogan.

Hogan is one of six individuals chosen for a national officer position out of a field of 37 candidates. Fulfilling his position will require traveling more than 100,000 miles; meeting top leaders in business, government and education; visiting approximately 40 states and participating in an international experience tour in Japan.

As an FFA member, Hogan participated in supervised agricultural experiences in beef and goat production. He received the American FFA Degree and was a chapter star farmer and chapter star greenhand. He served as the Texas state FFA vice president for 2001-2002.

Hogan is involved in student government, Alpha Gamma Rho and the Interfraternity Council at Tarleton State. Hogan says that he “hope(s) to make a difference in the lives of FFA members by being a positive ambassador for agriculture and the FFA.”
