Remembering Mike Pinkerton

 

    Mike Pinkerton, Kappa, died Tuesday, September 20, as result of a accident that happened while driving his UPS route.  Mike was one of the advisers for Kappa Chapter at the University of Nebraska. He began serving as adviser in April of 2004.  He became a member of the Kappa Chapter in 1985.  His father George, uncle Kenneth, brother Dave, and nephew Kevin are also members of the Kappa Chapter.  Mike was a driver for the United Parcel Service for about 15 years.

     Mike was married to Pam (Basler), they had daughters Hannah, 10, and Lindsey, 8, and son Ben, 6.  He spent a lot of time with his family, enjoyed landscaping, hunting pheasants and quail, and was active in St. Peter’s Catholic Church.

    Visitation will be held from 12:00 – 5:00 p.m. Friday, September 23 at Roper & Sons Funeral Home in Lincoln.  The rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m. Friday, September 23, and the funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 24 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Lincoln.  A committal service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 24 at St. Joseph’s Catholic cemetery in Beatrice.
