Alpha Gamma Rho Fraternity Outraged With Alpha Chi Chapter

    Alpha Gamma Rho Fraternity is outraged at the display of animal cruelty and disrespect for fellow members that were shown at the Alpha Chi Chapter at Western Kentucky University. After being notified by the university administration of the incident that took place at the Alpha Chi Chapter house, the National Fraternity was shocked and repulsed.

     The chapter has been suspended.  Alpha Gamma Rho will conduct a full investigation of the incident and work with university and community officials to find the facts and determine further necessary actions and/or discipline.  Executive Director of Alpha Gamma Rho Fraternity, Phil Josephson said, “I find it repulsive that any of our members would engage in this behavior. It’s a violation of our morals and ethics and it’s a counter to good common sense and decency.”

    Alpha Gamma Rho Fraternity is a social and professional fraternity.  Pledging is prohibited in AGR, and we have a policy outlawing hazing.  AGR also has strong Risk Management policies in place.

    Alpha Gamma Rho is all about integrity and decency.  An important part of our values is holding high the significance of human dignity.  That extends to respecting the dignity of animals as well.
