Initial five initiatives are in implementation stage:

–Best Practices (Task Force work completed)

–Eligibility (Task Force work completed)

–Chapter Planning (Sessions being completed)

–Leadership Training Evaluation (On track)

–Capital Campaign (On track)

–And…we expanded the list to include increasing alumni engagement at the local chapter level

Yes, Chapter risk management violations have occurred and appropriate actions taken…however, learning took place

Significantly more examples of success than disappointment.

Financial Performance

Both HRT and the General Fraternity lost money this past year…$83k and $146k, respectively.

Virtually equal to the investment losses incurred compared to budget

NEF in the black due to capital campaign contributions received

A “Financial Summit” lead to investment strategy changes…collaborate, simplify and mirror the indexes

NEF:  Capital Campaign

Off to a great start…$1,341,450!

We can’t assume our brothers get the “why”…requires focused solicitation and explanation

Our financial future will be driven by endowed programs and services

The need for the development position has never been more clear!

HRT

Continues to provide counsel and financial support for fraternity housing

Is working hard to evolve different housing models appropriate for future group living situations

Centennial

Fundraising coordinated between 2nd Century Task Force and the Beta Committee…Altria contributed $25k already

History Book is being finalized…needs marketing push

Convention plans are coming together nicely…”Brothers of the Century” will help bring 1000 to the closing banquet

AGR Volunteers Make It Happen!

840 dedicated volunteers

–Chapter advisors

–House Corporation leaders

–Alumni Association members

–National leaders

When/every time we realize our aspirations as a fraternity…it will be/is due to them!

So, Where Do We Go From Here?

We have a wonderful strategic planning process, with some initiatives underway!

We are working with chapters to catch the spirit!

We must now redouble our efforts to be action oriented, change agents

We must finish the task we have begun as we move into the next 100 years!
